Advancing sewing as an art and life skill
The American Sewing Guild is a national non-profit organization dedicated to promoting sewing as creative, rewarding activity for all.
We will be having a Yankee swap at the Nov. 14th meeting.
If the gift you received last month didn't excite you bring it wrapped to the Nov. meeting The wrapping doesn’t have to be
Hallmark perfect. You could put it in a brown paper bag and staple it shut.
Even if you liked what you won (or you weren’t at the October meeting) you have an opportunity to participate in this activity. Bring a new or gently used piece of sewing related paraphernalia , WRAPPED, to swap. We all have a few sewing related items sitting around that were gifted to us or we bought but don’t use but that someone else would cherish – a nice length of fabric, pretty buttons, a book, etc.
After our guest speaker’s presentation we will have our Yankee Swap for those of you who
want to participate. This is not a white elephant or gag gift exchange. Hope you’ll all keep
Our chapter has general meetings the 2nd Tuesday of the month at the Plainfield Senior Center, 5255 Grand River Drive, Grand Rapids MI. Meetings begin at 7 P.M. with social time at 6:30.
No meetings in July and Dec.
